Collyn Scott - Tasting Room Manager
Collyn Scott is truly a wine enthusiast! He grew up in Orange County, CA and attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. During his junior year, he had the opportunity to take part in the Semester at Sea program through the University of Virginia, and circumnavigated the globe over the course of the Spring semester. While at sea, Collyn traveled to South Africa and visited Stellenbosch, the predominant wine region of the area. This was the spark that ignited Collyn’s love of wine and the decision to move to Australia after graduating from school. It was there that Collyn had his first wine job in 2010 in the Margaret River region. After returning home, he knew his passion for the wine industry was not going to fade so he decided to move to Sonoma County just in time for the 2012 Harvest. Since that time, Collyn has worked at multiple wineries from Carneros in the south to Alexander Valley in the north all eventually leading him to the Dry Creek Valley and Dutcher Crossing. Collyn was introduced to Dutcher Crossing early on as his uncles have been club members since 2006, the Taylor Cabernet being their favorite choice for family dinners. In his spare time, Collyn likes to travel to wine regions worldwide and to seek out local wines. No matter where the road leads him though, he always comes back to the Dry Creek Valley which he now calls home.
