Petite Sirah is a variety that is never short of color and extract. It’s in the DNA of the variety. That said, the variety is sometimes short of layered dimension. Our 2009 vintage Petite Sirah is not. It has the juiciest perfumed aroma of cherry chocolate bon bon and spicy plum. It’s really pretty and intense. On the palate the flavors are smooth, rich in dark red cherry fruit. This is a wine you want to drink, with a friend, by the bottle, not just a glass or two.
